Hello and Welcome to my on-line gallery (Established 2012), ocassional blog and an introduction to me and my artist practice. I first opened the gallery back in 2012 and after 12 years of successfully selling fine art prints to public, private and corporate clients I decided to take a bit of a sabbatical and finally fulfil my wish to study Fine Art on a Full time basis,  I think its now time to share what I have been up to for those familiar and unfamiliar with my previous work.

ARTIST STATEMENT

My artistic influence emerges from a long held fascination with, observation and documentation of the materiality of the urban fabric. The walls and pavements that surround us bear the marks of countless layers of interactions between material, environment and human activity, creating visual encapsulations of the passage of time. These unintended interactions often create accidental abstract artworks of intrigue and beauty, both poignant and evocative.

Through my own urban exploration, personal observation and photography I select and capture found art compositions with a particular emphasis on palimpsest and the visual language of torn posters, advertising, gorilla art and hand written interventions.

These photographs are then edited and deconstructed into a series of data layers that are recoloured, layered and recontextualised to create a series of 'Visual Essays' speaking to the viewer of our relationship with the urban landscape, the passage of time, inviting the viewer to observe, contemplate, to look and look again at discover a new found interest in their environment.
