time traces
Each surface that surrounds us daily bears the marks of countless layers of interactions between material, environment, and human activity, creating a visual encapsulation of the passage of time. These unintended and almost imperceptable to the human eye, interactions between the decomposition, recomposition and displacement of material and surface create accidental artworks of extraordinary beauty, both poignant and evocative.
To capture the essence of these acidental artworks I reveal the hidden layers through a long process of deconstructing, reconstructing and recontextualising a series sequence of digital data into a series of Visual Essays, comprising both static and moving image sequences.
The intended outcome is to create a visual dialogue between presence and absence and displacement, speaking to the viewer of the natural progression of time and inviting to observe and contemplate. to look and to look again.
