Inspired by her previous career as an Urban Designer and her love of maps Bronagh has created this intricate map art print of historic London. These limited edition London map prints are based on the 1914 Ordinance Survey Maps and depicts London before the destruction of WWII and the redevelopments of 60’s and 70’s changed the city forever.
This London Print took over 100 HOURS TO CREATE and the drawing focuses on the elegant simplicity of the building form and the street network, leaving out all the text and additional information found on most street maps allowing the wonderful pattern of the urban form to shine through. The print is then simply coloured to achieve an effortlessly elegant piece of wall art that is a great addition to any home or office or a memorable gift for all those London lovers out there.
These map art prints are originally drawn at a scale of approximately 1:5000 and cover the area from Westminster in the west to the Tower of London in the east, Smithfield Market in the north and Bermondsey in the south.
