NEW ABSTRACT ART PRINTS COLLECTION
And now for something a little different!
Whilst I mainly photograph and create prints of architecture and cities I also have a bit of a fascination with patterns and textures found in the natural environment and whilst I am out and about i often take photogrpahs of lovely patterns that catch my eye.
This new abstract art prints collection was inspired by a decaying tree stump in my local park Clissold Park, Stoke Newington, Hackney. In order to encourage wildlife in the park the dead tree stumps are retained to provide home and shelter for all manner of small creatures and creapy crawlies and are a big feature of the park. As i walked round the park one sunny summer afternoon i was lucky enough to catch some wonderfully detailed wood textures and shapes.
I was so inspired by the photographs that i got to work editing, colouring, layering and, well playing with the textures and patterns created in the photographs and these images were the result. I was intrigued that the detail textures in the bark began to look like a mountainous lansdscape and its one of the reasons i love working with photographs as the more you explore them the more oportunities emerge.
I do hope you like them as much as I enjoyed creating them and keep an eye out for more abstracts as it is definately a direction i would like to explore further.
Thank you for taking the time to read and please have a browse through the collection and visit the website to explore some of the other collection.
All the best
